Have been trying to find good replacements for Bodens as they were the best before they stopped doing mens' clothes. My husband says the Vedoneire ones are a very good fit and comfortable. Absolutely awesome, like wearing a pair of slippers

I purchased these for my husband. He was frustrated by the poor quality of the Chinese manufactured braces on offer in our local shops.The braces you sell are made in England, and have 4 sturdy clips which don't ping off at the slightest movement. Definitely recommended, and there is a good choice of designs/colours.

I’m in business myself and have an eye for High Street Service versus Online ….and I maintain that the value/service provided by many High Street Shops is well worth continuing to support versus Amazon’esque Online Retailers.

…..and so whilst on a few days holiday in Dumfries & Galloway I popped into G E Livingston where over 2 visits I met Lewis (son), his Father & Mother, all working away busily and with a real passion for their customers and old fashioned attentive/helpful customer service. So much so, that I bought 3 pairs of trousers (one pair was altered by their in-house tailor whilst I went for lunch with my good lady) and I also bought a pair of fine Loakes Shoes which were subsequently posted to me as they ordered my size in.

The “Sales Family” were a delight to deal with, couldn’t have been more helpful and perhaps I could have shopped about online to save some £££’s however that would have simply been disrespectful to the people that spent time & attention with me, assisting me with over £600 worth of clothing/shoes.

So… I say simply this …..Visit your local shops or ones in towns or villages that you visit and if the service is this good and they have items you want to buy then really consider buying them from that business as it will help them remain in business rather than our High Streets becoming littered with empty shops that were victims of the “March of Online Retail” …..albeit others will fail for valid reasons.

Read the History of Livingston’s as a Family Business…. In my view, they are a wonderful example of why so called “Old Fashioned Customer Service” deserves to be applauded and commended …..and why customers really should reward that dedication to service by spending in that business, rather than just seeking the cheapest online option.

I spent my hard earned £600+ at Livingston’s and was delighted to do so. Well done to Father, Mother & Son …..truly a family-run business that excels with its service.
